Above It All

Is this a real raw photograph or has it been cleaned up a little bit? It looks unreal, in a good way of course. Like a painting you'd see in a fifties diner somewhere. Maybe it's just the whisps of clouds over the wing that give it a more glossy look. Either way, it's a wonderful photo.
