About the Piece
For those really in the know, this piece carries the more specific title, that being "diecimila REDUX", which specifically references this previous artwork. It also is the final result of an idea that I had taunted my watchers with last September. Today is the first day after the last exam of my undergraduate degree, so I thought it was a good day to go ahead and polish this off.

I might actually like this version better than the original, even though it is not meant to be a replacement at all. This simply represents an idea I had while I was creating diecimila and I thought warranted another go through. This is easily my most colour-adventurous artwork as I usually can't let myself add wide variety of colour to an artwork. My (almost) fear of colour is still present though, since I couldn't bring myself to give colour to the building itself. I think it works this way just as well, not to mention the coloured building I did looked like something out of a Willy Wonka nightmare. There actually was a third idea that stemmed from that building drawing I did, but I don't know if that version will ever see the light of day...
