The Cliffby ~Toop

Photography / Macro / Nature©2007-2013 ~Toop
About the Piece
This shot was taken a while ago on a trip *Tonsatz and I took to Pukaskwa, which is about four to five hours north of Sault Ste Marie. The beaches up there are absolutely gorgeous, and provide no shortage of great photo opportunities. I'm sure some probably figured this out, but the photo is of a "cliff" of sand about five inches in height. On one hand, it doesn't really tell you how big the beach is, but on the other, you do get some sense of just how amazing the sand is. Lake Superior never ceases to amaze me.

Personal Thoughts
I really like how this shot turned out, good enough in fact that I didn't change the colours at all, a little cropping was about it. I've done alot of attempts at making small things look big, and this is definitely one of my best results, so I'm quite fond of it.

did you add the depth of field stuff in it? or did you take it like that (i didn't remember it being like that on my computer).
anyways, once again, fabulous shot. i love being shocked to find out how little something is when a picture makes it look so large and outstanding.
great job with how you composed this shot.
