This was sketched in pencil then completed with a felt tipped pen.

This was done completely out of know where. I needed something for drawing class as an example of what I like to do, and so I just sat down, and this came out. Alot of the Tribal drawings I do end up as sketches in class, and if I can get time, I do them in felt tipped pen. They finals are usually that size, which is just an 8x11 piece of cover paper.

Straight.... you mean smooth? I just have a knack for producing smooth curves it seems.

I spent 85% of my classes drawing. Its where I get most of my personal art done :P All the cool people do it :D

Heheh no kidding. Its nice in university, cause they don't tell you to clear off your desk =p When I do the final versions, they take alot longer than the originals, usually and hour or two if im lucky, so I have a hard time fitting them in. Most of the reason why my gallery isn't full of them. Not to mention my scanner is being dumb, so I have to take digital pics, and I can't get them to look right :x How do you usually get yours on your computer?

oh. that is soo not cool.. although we only need to clear off during a test so its all good... ya the finals always take a long time for me also.. i use india ink so i need to let that dry... and i draw in my little sketchbook so i cant ink another cuz i need 2 turn page...annoyning... but ya i would have more but i dont have time to ink them, oh well, eventually :)

oh. you have a scanner? that would be nice to have.. i take digital pics w/ teh camera... i think in my recent journal i had whole long process of gettign them frompaper to ready 2 upload... process takes a few hours normally... how are they not looking right? just like... pic badish or .....

Yeah, even if I'm using the close up function, they never really come out how I want them too when I take the pic. I might just need to find the right place to get light on them. If only the scanner would just work. :(

I don't use ink on these, I just don't have as much control and I do with the pen. I use ink if I'm just improvising shapes and stuff, but not for trying to replicate a sketch. Hopefully during christmas holidays, after exams, I can get a couple done. I do hundreds of sketches everyday, some times I really get torn on which to do, and then none get done. Very destructive process.
