A Quick History Lesson
This piece has been in development for almost a year now, originally conceived as a tribute to my first five thousand page views. Early work went really well, and was on schedule until the piece got too large for my computer to handle. Only recently did I get around to having my friend ~Orikon to take out the areas I no longer cared for. Finally I could work on it, but being so long after I had worked on it, my plans for it's completion had changed quite a lot. A year later, I'm a bit ahead of myself concerning the 10k nameplate, but I think it's past warrants the name.
About the Piece
I might put up some work in progress shots of this to show the whole development, but I'll give you a quick run down of what is here. First of all, the building is a vector drawing I did based on a photo by *somadjinn, whose gallery is fantastic. Recreated entirely, for some reason I can't recall right now. That took a fair amount of time. From their I gathered some cloud stock, and started adding the flowers. I have shots from that period of time, but it got way off track, and they all got deleted. At that point the piece was 41+ mbs, and was crashing computers with 2 gigs of ram. Anyway, after the trimming, I kept it to the moody scene you see here.
Final Thanks
I just needed to put in another thanks to those who still watch my gallery despite my big gaps between submission. Thank you for your continued support, and I will try to earn all of those spots on your watch lists.
