Music is bigger than words...

Artness
Another journal!  This time it only took two months instead of the predicted three. ;P  I have all of my art back from my printmaking class, I just have to figure out how to get it up here.  I do want it up though, I like displaying artwork from more than one medium.  I have to earn that "General Artist" title I claim. =P

I'm also been trying to write a short piece based on a dream that I had, but I just can't get into it. :(  It's all conversation, but I just don't know how to start or end it.  There are alot of things I want included in it, but making it complete just isn't working.  Hopefully I'll figure that out and post it.

Oh!  I might also put some pictures from this year's NAIAS in my scraps.  I don't think I even posted any from last year's show. :O

Lifeness
My life is mostly consumed with school.  At the top of the pile of work is my thesis.  From time to time I really enjoy working on it, and I just hope I can pick up the pace and get it finish in a timely manner.  50+ pages is well beyond what I've ever written before, though my supervisor claims I have a knack for writing.  I'm not so sure.  Either way it has to be done!

Also on the brain is a possible trip to Europe.  It's been a distinct possibility for the last little while, and gets a little more promising each day.  Hopefully a group of friends and I will be flying over, probably to Frankfurt, and driving around for two weeks.  There are a lot of things I'd love to see.  The best part about being a Canadian in Europe is the driving distances.  In Scotland I was describing to someone how it takes 7ish hours to drive from home to Toronto.  This boggles the mind over there though, as its impossible to drive in one direction for 6 hours without falling off of the country. ;P  Anyway, the prospect of visiting half a dozen countries in two weeks is quite appealing as an end-of-university trip. :excited:

Thoughtness
For a random ending to this journal, I still can't believe that Passion has only five favourites.  I'm not asking for more favs or anything, it just seems odd to me.  As one of my personal favourites, I have a hard time understanding why some other get more attention.  Can someone shed some light on this one?  It's been bugging me for a long time, wondering if I just can't see what's wrong with it. =P

Anyway, I'll put in the new lyrics, then I am off to eat.  Then to study I guess.  Thanks for reading. :)

The Lyrics Section

It's been a long time since I've listened to this song, but it's always been a favourite of mine, the lyrics especially.  Death Cab hadn't gotten any attention since I started this section in my journal, so I figured it was about time.  Plus I could put Radiohead in here two times in a row now could I!  Oh, and I've been listening to alot of Mogwai too, but most of their stuff is instrumental. =P

You may tire of me, as our December sun is setting
because I'm not who I used to be
No longer easy on the eyes, but these wrinkles masterfully disguise
The youthful boy below
Who turned your way and saw, something he was not looking for:
both a beginning and an end
But now he lives inside, someone he does not recognize
When he catches his reflection on accident

On the back of a motor bike, with your arms outstretched trying to take flight
Leaving everything behind
But even at our swiftest speed, we couldn't break from the concrete
In the city where we still reside.
And I have learned, that even landlocked lovers yearn
For the sea like navy men
Cause now we say goodnight, from our own separate sides
Like brothers on a hotel bed
